The BittyTDs were excited. Today was special—Dovie was coming for her very first tea party at one of their homes.
The little house was cozy and a bit shabby, with cracked teacups and mismatched chairs. Dovie’s eyes darted around as she stepped in.
“Oh my,” she whispered, “this isn’t exactly fancy.”
But then she saw the table.
Cakes, cookies, and cones towered high like treasures. Her eyes widened.
The BittyTDs turned their backs for just a moment to fetch napkins.
When they turned around—every dessert was gone!
Dovie licked her lips.
“I’m sorry,” she said with a shrug. “But that’s just my nature. You knew I was a pig when you invited me.”
The room grew quiet until Polly set down her paw.
“Yes, Dovie,” she said softly. “It may be your nature to eat more than your share. But we hoped your nature could learn to be gentle when you’re with others.”
Violet nodded. “We all have our ways. But when we gather in love, we care about everyone’s joy—not just our own.”
Cherie added, “If you want to enjoy extra, you can always bring a basket just for you. But at the tea table, we share.”
Dovie’s ears drooped. She thought about it. Maybe being a pig didn’t have to mean forgetting kindness.
Finally, she smiled. “Next time, I’ll bring a whole pie. One for me, and one for all of you.”
Just then, the kittens bustled back into the kitchen. They returned with a secret tray they’d prepared, filled with more sweets. They placed it on the table with a smile.
This time, Dovie only ate a few.
The BittyTDs clapped their paws and poured her a fresh cup of tea.

🍪 Dessert of the Day
Tiny frosted cookies and cakes—bright little bites, perfect for paws (and snouts!).
🌈 Imagine This
If you had a plate of cookies, would you eat them all yourself—or save some to share?
What kind of treat would you bring to the next tea party?
