Juju Bee didn’t know what her feelings were.

Grown-ups had big words for them —words like apprehension. But Juju only knew that her willingness tummy was no longer so willing. It was flipping and flopping like a fish, and she couldn’t figure out why.

Maybe it had something to do with the new student.

Her name? Wanda Bagelsnout.

(And honestly, who would name their kid Wanda Bagelsnout anyway?)

Normally, Juju Bee was raring to go to Design Class. But this time she lingered. Something felt odd.

And, to be fair, the day at daycare was strange.

Miss Lemmon's husband Ron—who everyone secretly called " Mr. Sour Lemon ”—dropped her baby off during Stitching Class. The baby cried the whole time while Mrs. Lemon tried go teach us about the British Buttoner tool.

And then there was Wanda.

She wasn’t like anyone Juju had ever met. She came from another state—maybe even another country. She talked with an accent that made everyone lean in closer, just to hear her speak.

The other kids crowded around. Wanda smiled. She was different, but in the kind of way that made people want to pay attention.

Juju Bee didn’t mind… at least, she told herself she didn’t. But still, her tummy flopped again.

Wanda noticed and said Juju could call her “Wan.” You can call me Wan,” she said, flicking her going to her eye.

“Because Wanda is like… duh, you know?”

The kittens giggled, and just like that, Wanda Bagelsnout became Wan.

And "Wan Bagelsnout” didn’t sound so bad after all.

Juju decided she could work with that.

And maybe, next time her emotions got all scrambled and heavy, she’d just drink some milk and let them settle down.

✨ Sometimes it’s the little things—warm like milk, and a few moments to think about things —that help untangle big feelings.

🍓 Dessert of the Day

Mini Strawberry Shortcake Stacks – layers of golden sponge, fresh strawberries, and whipped cream clouds. Juju said they looked like “towers of happiness” and pretended hers was a castle with whipped-cream guards.
