✨ The Last Mitten’s Secret
No one expected much from the shabby old house at the edge of town, but inside lived twelve kittens who never thought of their life as shabby at all.
The kittens had spent all week in a whirl of planning. Ribbons trailed down the hall, teacups clinked, and somebody had even sugared strawberries twice over just to be sure.
Juju Bee, though, was in a tangle. She’d meant to sew her gown — layers of pink and lace — but the frills knotted, the hem snagged, and by the morning of the tea party she pushed it all into a corner.
The others whispered, “Don’t worry. The Ribbon Mitten will come. It always comes when someone needs it.” They peeked under the sofa, searched the flour tin, even checked the garden hedge. But no mitten stirred.
That evening, Juju Bee sat by the cracked window, fussing with her half-finished dress. She had wanted ribbons, but the lace kept slipping, and nothing looked quite right. For a moment, she thought she might not go to the ball at all.
Then Violet, with her soft lavender eyes, leaned close and smiled. Just a small smile, but the kind that says you belong right here.
And that’s when it happened.
The air above Juju shimmered, and a scatter of tiny stars tumbled down around her paws. They weren’t decorations she had stitched or jewels from any shop. They were brighter, lighter — they were joy itself.
Bennie darted forward to catch one, paws batting the air. Meg giggled and tried too, but the stars scattered like playful fireflies, slipping just out of reach. Juju laughed, forgetting about her crooked ribbons altogether.
The mitten with its pink ribbon lay quiet on the chair. It hadn’t needed to shine tonight — the smile had already done the work.
And Juju, plain dress and all, walked out with her friends into the night, trailing stars no needle could ever sew.
That day, Juju Bee learned: sometimes the mitten doesn’t bring what you want. It brings what you need.
🌸 Imagine: If a smile could make stars tumble around you, who would you share one with first? Draw it, write it, or tell it to someone close.

Juju Bee’s Strawberry Milk Recipe 🍓🥛
Because no story of Juju Bee is complete without a sweet sip:
Ingredients:
1 cup cold milk (or oat milk)
3 fresh strawberries, mashed smooth
1 teaspoon sugar (or honey)
Whipped cream, for topping
A sprinkle of pink sugar crystals (optional, but Juju insists!)
Directions:
Mash strawberries in a small bowl with the sugar until juicy and soft.
Pour into a glass, add milk, and stir well.
Top with a cloud of whipped cream and a dusting of pink sugar.
Sip slowly — it tastes best when shared with a smile.
